As Chief Technology Officer, you will lead our technological vision and drive innovation in AI-driven cancer diagnostics. You will oversee the development of cutting-edge AI models that link pathology images to genotypes and/or clinical outcomes, thereby enhancing the precision and speed of cancer diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the R&D team in creating innovative AI models for medical diagnostics.

- Drive the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.

- Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions.

- Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.

- Develop and maintain a pipeline of AI innovation in line with the strategic growth of the company.

- Align the company's technology resources with the organization's short- and long-term goals.

- Serve as a mentor to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field.

- Extensive experience with applying machine learning to biomedical imaging datasets.

- Proficiency in attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

- In-depth experience with Unix/Linux systems, including high-performance computing environments.

- Strong programming skills in R and Python.

- Working knowledge of convolutional neural networks and related machine learning algorithms.

- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistics.

- Proven publication track record in relevant fields.

- Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in written and oral English.

- Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear reports and presentations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Independence in seeking out relevant research, assessing methods, implementing them, and applying them to datasets to reproduce and innovate results.
