We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) to become an integral part of our hospital-based pathology team in Bakersfield, California. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pathology services, including surgical pathology, cytopathology, and oversee clinical laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure timely and precise diagnostic outcomes.
• Engage in tumor boards, quality assurance activities, and contribute to laboratory management.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Act as a medical liaison between the pathology department and other hospital departments.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology.
• Eligibility for or possession of an active California medical license.
• Strong diagnostic expertise in general surgical pathology and cytopathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a commercial laboratory environment.
• Subspecialty training or experience in a high-volume pathology setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory accreditation standards such as CAP and CLIA.
