The National Account Executive will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with large national accounts such as reference laboratories and hospital laboratories. This role requires a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with the company's services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or laboratory sales and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
● Identify and pursue new business opportunities with national accounts across various sectors, including healthcare providers, employers, and reference laboratories.
● Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand the laboratory's market presence.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
● Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, logistics, and laboratory operations, to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.
● Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
● Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
● Required experience of 5 or more years calling on Strategic Accounts including but not limited to reference laboratories, hospital laboratories and large institutions that would do toxicology.
● Existing relationships & book of business are required
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in the laboratory services industry.
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
● Strong understanding of toxicology testing services and the healthcare landscape.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
