As Accounting and Finance Manager, I support the Controller in overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and facilitating compliance with regulatory standards. I play a critical role in preparing financial statements, assisting with external audits and tax filings, and developing financial models that support strategic decision-making. Thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings, I drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across all financial processes.
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree and CPA preferred)
● 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including AP, AR, GL, tax, audit, budgeting, and multi-entity financial reporting under GAAP
● Proficiency with QuickBooks, Concur, and/or Carta (preferred)
● Industry-specific experience and knowledge of multi-state regulations (a plus)
● Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and budget development
● Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and fixed assets
● Manage month-end close and general ledger maintenance
● Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow projections, and inventory costing
● Evaluate and implement internal controls, financial policies, and process improvements
● Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accounting standards
● Collaborate with external accounting firms on tax return preparation and audit processes
● Support strategic planning through detailed financial analyses and reporting
● Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and finance law
● Strong leadership and team collaboration skills with a focus on mentorship and accountability
● High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
● Skilled communicator—able to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
● Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
● Proficient in MS Office and various financial systems and databases
● Agile and adaptable in high-growth, evolving business environments
